Medical Technician

JOB SUMMARY

The Medical Technician is responsible for conducting nursing assessment, medication monitoring, and documentation. The role involves observing clients, charting and reporting changes in clients; conditions, and recording patients’ withdrawal symptoms. Medical Technicians may also be responsible for collecting samples for the lab and educating clients on prescriptions and medication management. The role also requires measuring and recording clients’ vital signs, client documentation, and client rounds. Medical Technicians must uphold HIPAA regulations, ADA and Joint Commission policies and procedures boundaries, and client and company confidentiality.

  • Must have valid California driver’s license and liability insurance
  • Vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination

  • California EMT, MA, CNA, LVN  license
  • One year of experience in a residential healthcare facility, behavioral health, mental health, hospital, or another related field

Behavioral Health Technician

JOB SUMMARY

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) works closely with clients and medical staff, providing assistance in the areas of medication observation and medical appointment scheduling toward overall client health. This role involves observing and charting patients, collecting lab samples, preparing medical data for clinical staff, and providing education for prescriptions and medication management. The role requires knowledge of detox medications, attention to detail, and accurate documentation abilities. BHTs also conduct client rounds and are required to uphold ethical and policy stipulations in their role.

Therapist

JOB SUMMARY

The primary goal of the Therapist is to help those struggling with interpersonal/relationship issues. The main role is to develop a humanistic and empathetic relationship with those who are struggling. This process will help promote trust and growth with clients who are faced with personal, family, and social crises. Therapists will demonstrate mastery of the scope of practice as evidenced by measurable performance evaluations of direct client services and written documentation skills: 

  • Substance abuse and relapse
  • Coping with difficult life changes
  • Developing and maintaining intimate relationships

  • Family conflicts
  • Loneliness, depression, PTSD , or anxiety

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 1500 hours earned toward licensing hours with a registered number with a positive standing from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences 
  • Possess a valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor or Licensed Psychologist issued by the California
  • Board of Behavioral Sciences/Board of Psychology
  • Master’s Degree or PsyD and two years of supervised clinical experience
  • Experience in substance abuse and dual diagnosis residential treatment facility preferred
  • CBT and evidence based experience a plus 
  • Experience with trauma and eating disorders preferred
  • Experience with providing prevention and early intervention behavioral health services
  • Must have treatment experience with strong professional references attesting to high degree of clinical sophistication
  • Trained to independently diagnose and treat mental health and substance abuse problems
  • Experience with evidenced based documentation and/or ASAM documentation
  • Current certification in First Aid/CPR

Case Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Assesses patients, evaluates effectiveness of care plan and progress made by client, participates in patient treatment planning and case review with patient care providers. Maintains and reports applicable statistics regarding programs and client services. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Coordinating and providing care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered. Handling case assignments, draft service plans, review case progress and determine case closure. Helping clients achieve wellness and autonomy.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven working experience in case management, including as a Nurse, Medical, Mental Health Care Manager or a related job
  • Excellent knowledge of case management principles, healthcare management and reimbursement
  • Previous experience with psychological aspects of care
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with professional and technical emerging knowledge
  • Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
  • Compassionate with teamwork skills
  • Current license, certification or registration
  • BS degree in related healthcare field
